03. NATURAL GAS COMBINED HEAT AND POWER MODULE

Efficient and careful with resources

This means you can reduce your energy costs by up to 20% with a natural gas CHP module, whilst protecting the environment at the same time. The energy generated on site gives you complete control over your heating and energy supply costs, and ensures up to 90% efficiency thanks to combined heat and power generation. This is much more efficient than generating electricity and heat separately. Optional condensing systems are available for our natural gas CHP modules.

04. Biogas combined heat and power module

Use residual organic materials for fuel

Use renewable raw materials or residual organic materials, for example from livestock farming, to generate your power and heat. We help you generate a clean, ignitable mixture that you can use to obtain energy cost effectively from your farm's raw materials. Thanks to WOLF Power Systems' state of the art technology, gas cleaning is carried out during operation. This prevents contamination and thus significantly increases the service life of the system.

05. Sewage gas combined heat and power module

Low cost energy for your sewage treatment plant

We build and deliver turnkey CHP modules to run your system and all of the components needed for gas cleaning.

Our combined heat and power modules are ideal for meeting the electricity and heat demand of sewage and wastewater treatment plants. At the same time, you can use the gas generated during the sludge process, which contains methane, as a free resource for the combustion process. This is because our modules are able to use the heat generated for the sludge process and to dry sewage sludge. This is much more cost effective than using an external heat source.

06. LPG combined heat and power module

The solution for an independent energy supply

LPG CHP modules are a useful solution if a secure and independent energy supply is a priority, but you don't have access to the natural gas grid.

Natural gas is an efficient and practical energy source. Even if you run a hotel in the mountains or are cut off from the natural gas grid because of your location, you can still make the investment in a cost effective LPG CHP module. Of course, this solution requires you to have the space to install the tank to hold the LPG.

In concrete terms, this means that for biogas and sewage gas, we offer products for gas cleaning to significantly increase the efficiency and service life of your CHP module. In addition, WOLF Power Systems also provides container solutions for locations where installation within the building is difficult, as well as control options (remote access, interfaces), silencer hoods and heating, ventilation and air handling equipment.


  • Longer runtimes for your biogas CHP module

    The efficiency and service life of your CHP module depend largely on the consistency and purity of your fuel. That's why you can trust in WOLF Power Systems' modern gas cleaning technology.

    Biogenic gases contains pollutants such as siloxane, hydrogen sulphide and ammonia. If these are combusted inside the engine without prior scrubbing, the engine will suffer greater wear, as will downstream system components such as catalytic converters and heat exchangers. We offer state of the art gas cleaning to ensure your system remains highly efficient for a long time.

    If you don't have a lot of space in your building, we can also provide you with turnkey container solutions, prefabricated garages or concrete silencer hoods for outdoor installation.

    A CHP solution situated outside your building offers a number of advantages. Generally, it requires much less time for planning and engineering than with indoor installations, since a turnkey system can be simply "dropped off" at your property. The compact design of our systems further allows for quick and easy installation on site, which comes with the added advantage of reducing your installation costs. In addition, we deliver our CHP modules ex works as a total design concept, which means that all of the control loops are already perfectly coordinated with one another.

    Concrete silencer hoods from wolf power systems

    Compared to container solutions, concrete silencer hoods offer a number of advantages: they are particularly quiet, reduce structure-borne noise transmission to the adjacent building and can be architecturally and visually adapted to fit in with neighbouring buildings.

    This is where our experience shines through. With electronic mixture control in lean-burn and Lambda 1 mode, our CHP modules achieve figures significantly below the limits set by German clean air legislation. The fully automated system is designed in such a way as to ensure complete unattended operation of the system.

    Every appliance can be connected to smart building management systems (BMS). And everything is in place to provide remote monitoring via GSM or the web, which allows straightforward monitoring and maintenance to be carried out online. As part of a maintenance contract, therefore, the costs of travel to and from site can be significantly reduced.

     

    The comprehensive set of functions, measurements and regulation processes is executed with the aid of a special, freely programmable control system. This is a compact, modular system that can be configured to meet the needs of many applications and different module types. Alongside monitoring, control, regulation and system protection, remote data transfer offers additional opportunities to reduce service costs.

    Remote maintenance for high availability

    WOLF Power Systems remote maintenance allows us to respond more quickly to possible faults. In the event of a problem occurring, our customer service centre is notified directly.

    We check whether the machine is damaged and we need to send out a member of the service team, or whether it's a software issue. This ensures quick response times, rapid fault resolution and higher system availability. By the way: 70% of fault messages can be remedied directly by our remote maintenance centre without having to call out a member of our the service team.

  • Peak load boilers from WOLF

    Alongside our CHP modules, we can also offer you peak load boilers from the WOLF range. And that's just one of many WOLF heating, ventilation and air handling products that can be perfectly integrated into our CHP solutions.

    A peak load boiler is a boiler that primarily serves to cover peak loads in terms of heat demand, e.g. when a large number of people are showering in the morning at a large hotel. This is because, in terms of thermal output, the engine in the CHP module is usually designed so that only the low end of the heat demand is covered.

    It is generally not worth increasing the output of the CHP module for peak times that last just a few hours a day, since the payback over the entire year would be too low due to the increased number of hours run as a result. In addition, the peak load boiler acts as a reserve boiler in the event that the engine unit should fail. We can also provide a number of additional appliances from the WOLF system range.
